This course provides an overview of the Verification, Review and Consultation (VRC) program of the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma. It will explain the purpose, guiding principles, overall structure and process for verifying centers. Rather than focusing on the specific criteria contained in the Resources for Optimal Care of the Injured Patient document this program provides insight into the expectations for the site review team members. The course is approximately 20 minutes in length and has the following 3 sections: Understanding the Process, The Site Review, and Timeline for Completing Reports. After each section, there are 4 to 5 questions to answer. This course is informative and a resourceful tool for all VRC reviewers.
