The American College of Surgeons (ACS) Foundation promotes voluntary philanthropy from Fellows and friends of the ACS. The generosity of donors allows the ACS Foundation to provide funding for College initiatives and its goals of improving surgical patient care and ensuring the professional standing of surgeons wherever they practice. Donations to the ACS Foundation support the sustaining fund, quality patient care, professional education, scholarships, and special program initiatives. The ACS Foundation is recognized as a tax-exempt, not-for-profit organization. Contributions to the ACS Foundation are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. All donations go directly to nonrevenue programs of the College since all ACS Foundation expenses are paid for by the College.
